The Role — Professional Home Cleaner

We're hiring professional home cleaners to join our contract team across Aurora and Newmarket. This is flexible, contract-based work — you choose the hours and days that work for you, and we work around your schedule.

You'll be cleaning residential homes, condos, and occasionally commercial spaces across Aurora and Newmarket — delivering the consistent, high-quality results that Mayfair is known for.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Performing professional house cleans, deep cleans, and specialist cleans across Aurora and Newmarket
  • Working independently or as part of a small team depending on the job
  • Following Mayfair's cleaning standards and checklists on every visit
  • Treating every home with the same care and respect you'd give your own
  • Communicating professionally with the Mayfair team regarding scheduling and job updates

What areas do I need to be able to travel to?

Our clients are based primarily in Aurora and Newmarket, with some jobs in surrounding York Region communities. You'll need reliable transportation and the ability to travel across these areas.

How and when do I get paid?

Payment details are discussed during the onboarding process. We pay competitively and on a regular schedule — always on time.

Is a background check really required?

Yes — a background check is a mandatory requirement for every Mayfair team member, no exceptions. Our clients trust us with access to their homes — often when they're not there — and that trust starts with knowing every person on our team has been properly vetted. We cover the cost of the background check.

What if I've never worked as a professional cleaner before?

That's okay. We look for reliability, attention to detail, and the right attitude above all else. We pair new team members with an experienced cleaner for their first few jobs to make sure you feel confident and know exactly what our standard looks like before going solo.
